HPD, Texans Team Up for "Blue Santa" Program for Kids

Houston Police Chief Charles A. McClelland, Jr. and Houston Texans Pro-Bowl wide receiver Andre Johnson will team up to announce a partnership for Blue Santa.

The purpose of this event is to encourage public support for the Blue Santa Houston program and increase the number of underpriviledged families assisted this year through community donations and corporate sponsorships.

Since 1984 the Blue Santa Program has delivered thousands of gifts, toys and holiday cheer to needy children and their families. The program is expected to provide toys to over 12,000 kids.

Andre Johnson has graciously donated autographed memorabilia to Blue Santa that will be auctioned to raise funds to provide toys to needy children.
