CLICK AWAY IN THE AFRICAN FOREST DURING “PHOTO DAY” AT THE HOUSTON ZOO

(HOUSTON) December 7, 2010 … Enjoy a day of photography and fun at the Houston Zoo’s Photo Day on Saturday, December 18, 2010. It’s the first Photo Day to include the chimpanzees and rhinos in the Zoo’s newest addition The African Forest.
The Houston Zoo opens its gates 2 hours early at 7 a.m. on December 18 allowing Photo Day ticket holders to take advantage of the morning light and cooler weather to capture memorable shots of some of the Zoo’s early risers.
Photo Day ticket holders can enjoy a continental breakfast and can take advantage of advantage of specially scheduled photo opportunities, or just roam the Zoo grounds at their leisure taking photos of all the Houston Zoo has to offer until our normally scheduled closing time of 6 p.m.

Photo Day Schedule
7 a.m. – 8 a.m. Free roaming photo access to Zoo grounds and all outside exhibits
8 a. m. – 8:30 a.m. Animal enrichment activity at rhinos in The African Forest
8:30 a.m. – 9 a.m. Animal enrichment activity at giraffes in The African Forest
Photo Day Tickets
(Includes Zoo admission, continental breakfast, and scheduled photo activities)
Adult Member: $30
Child/Senior/Student Member: $20
Adult Non-Member: $40
Child/Senior/Student Non-Member: $30
Children under 4 FREE.
