The 11th annual Diversity Summit - May 20, 2011
“Embracing Diversity and Inclusion in the New Economy”

The 11th annual Diversity Summit will be on May 20, 2011 at Sugar Land Marriott TownSquare, 16090 City Walk, Sugar Land, TX 77479. The theme of this year’s Summit is “Embracing Diversity and Inclusion in the New Economy”.

Started in 2001, the annual Diversity Summit brings together organizations and individuals to see how we can better leverage Diversity and Inclusion in the workplace in order to strengthen business performance. The focus of the Summit will be to:
• Share Diversity and Inclusion best practices.
• Allow participants to learn from those who have been successful in integrating Diversity and Inclusion into their businesses and enhanced the bottom line as a result. Enable the creation of an environment which allows employees to work at peak performance and maximize their full potential.
• Explore ways to build a global workforce which will stay ahead of the changing global marketplace.
• Facilitate networking opportunities.

For this year Summit, we will have 2 plenary sessions in the morning, followed by 4 concurrenttracks in the afternoon:
• Managing Diverse Workforce
• Professional Development
• Career Advancement
• Overcoming Workplace Obstacles

There will also be a Pre-Launch Reception, Leadership Networking Breakfast, Corporate Exhibit, and Professional Coach’s Corner this year. We expect over 500 attendees from corporations, small businesses, chambers of commerce, academic institutions, government and non-profit entities.
